As reporters were briefly brought into the ballroom, a man performed “Music of the Night” from the musical “Phantom at the Opera” at the president’s request.
The menu for the dinner was a lengthy one and included a full salad bar and a chilled seafood display with crab, oysters, jumbo shrimp and clams.
There was also a carving station with turkey, beef tenderloin, lamb and salmon, while the entrees for the dinner were Chilean Sea bass, Red Snapper and ribs. Whipped potatoes, sweet potatoes, vegetables and stuffing were among the sides.
Trump is spending his holiday break at the Florida resort. Earlier Thursday, he participated in a teleconference with leaders from the five branches of the military before visiting members of the Coast Guard at a station in Florida.
