The Voice UK viewers were left infuriated during the latest episode of the show.
Many claimed they couldn’t hear any of the contestants singing, due to the loud volume of noise coming from the audience.
The series is currently at its blind auditions stage, meaning a contestant takes to the stage to perform while the coaches have their backs to them.
If the contestant impresses them, a coach can choose to turn around.
But when the judges delay turning their chairs, or choose not to all, the audience begin to shout out in a bid to convince them otherwise.
Now, viewers at home are claiming the shouts of the audience are blocking out the contestants’ vocals.
Calling out the format decision, fans begged show bosses to change the rules so that audience members weren’t heard.
One fan said: “Too much crowd participation again. Please producers, let us hear the voices as that’s what the show is about.”
Another said: “Couldn’t the audience wait until a singer has got started before breaking into riotous applause?”
A third tweeted: “The audience screaming and motioning to push the button get right on my t**s.”
A fourth commented: “I wish the audience would shut the f**k up on @thevoiceuk you can’t hear the acts singing!”
This was echoed by another fan who said: “Watching #ThevoiceUk please tell the audience to shut the f**k up.”
