Kim Kardashian West candidly opens up on her struggles with skin condition psoriasis on Instagram.
The 37 year was diagnosed with the condition over seven years ago, which causes red, flaky, crusty patches of skin covered with silvery scales.
In the mum of three’s latest Instagram story, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed: “psoriasis is the s**t”, as she lay with ointment on her face.
Proving she’s willing to try anything to get rid of her painful rash after an angry outbreak, Kim also revealed earlier in the week she had visited a Chinese herbalist.
Talking to her Instagram followers, Kourtney Kardashian‘s sister revealed: “I am super desperate with my psoriasis so I went to a Chinese herbalist.
“I have my own mixture. I have to drink it twice a day and it is so nasty. Hopefully, this works. I’ll see in six weeks”.
This isn’t the only time Kim has spoken out about her struggle with psorisis, talking openly about it on her website in 2016.
She wrote: “Since I was first diagnosed with psoriasis in 2010, I’ve been pretty open about my struggles with it.
“I have that one patch on my right leg that is the most visible. I don’t even really try to cover it that much anymore.
“Sometimes I just feel like it’s my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it?”
Kim takes after her mum and manager, Kris Jenner, who also suffers with psoriasis.
Talking about how it affects her day to day life, Kanye West wife added at the time: “Everyone with psoriasis has different symptoms; sometimes the rashes are itchy, sometimes they’re flaky. Mine flares up from time to time for different reasons.
“I’m always hoping for a cure, of course, but in the meantime, I’m learning to just accept it as part of who I am.”
North West‘s mum first revealed the skin condition on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians years ago, where she pulled up her top and exposed the red blotchy patches on her stomach.
Desperate to stop the itching, Kim even tried applying sister Kourtney Kardashian‘s breast milk to get rid of the skin condition.
